Lets try to keep this civil, no "ricer" comments please. We aren't talking about honda civics with big exhaust tips and stickers here. These may be Japanese cars, but they have some serious performance mods and some of those are very very nice cars. The 95 Supra and the Eclipse are also quite nice especially.

If anyone says the Jetta they get shot 😉

Without a doubt my favourite was the 69 Charger. The only cars that would rank up with the charger would be a 68 Camaro SS, 69 Stingray, and 67 GT500. Of course none of those were in there.

Can't beat the Hemi-power 😉
 
The Charger and Supra were nice, but I want some more info on Dom's red Mazda RX-7 that he raced with in the beginning.
 
my friend argued with me that the green car that the cop drove in the beggining was a supra. I calmly told him it was Eclipse GS-X. But my favorite car was probably the Supra. Although that Charger prolly had enough torque to snap your neck and plant your ass in the seat all the ways through second gear. That sucks that they didn't tell HP-Torque stats that much in the movie.

They should have included a scene where some of the major cars dyno'd. But that would take a the end when Dom finally drives the Charger.

I wanna see it in the movie - I've seen a few pics of it. I'll be out to the movies tomorrow night thankfully 😀 And yes, that conversion makes the car look much sleeker/different 🙂 Kinda reminds me of a Lambo
 
Point him at www.thefastandthefurioius.com it shows the Eclipse, Charger, Supra and S2000. The Green car is most definately and Eclipse, the Orange one they restored is the Supra.


The movie is totally mindless, the plot is horrid 😉 But it's one of the funnest movies I've seen in a long time, just watching it makes your heart race and your adrenaline pump. I'll probably see it a second time at the theatre, and I will very very likely be buying it when it's out on DVD. It is sooo sweet.

Make sure you see it in a theatre with good sound 🙂 THX certifaction for star wars? Bah! This is where you need THX cert. Hearing that charger rumble to life is insane 😀
 
it has got to be the yellow Nissan Skyline R34.
i don't believe the supra was the featured car instead of the Skyline. maybe if America saw how awesome the Sklyine is, they would import the damn thing over.

Too bad that particular Max only runs the quarter in 14.4s!! That's pretty slow for a Supercharged Maxima!! There are S/C Maxes running 13.3s-13.9s!! And a mildly modded NA one running 14.5s!!

There's approx $10K of audio/entertainment stuff in that Max!! And its on sale on E-Bay.
 
YES INDEED there was a Skyline in the movie (I believe it was yellow). I did not believe it myself when I first saw it. But during the second clip, they had a nice rear shot, and there was no mistaking those 4 circular rear lights for anything else. they were quick 2 second scenes, and easy to miss.

It was a shame that they did not even race that thing...

The Skyline, by far, was the coolest car in the movie.

RX7s are just darn sexy! I like them black with no &quot;stickers&quot; Just enjoy the beauty.
R33s are just darn cool!

I had a bright white R33 GTR V-spec while stationed in Okinawa. Totally stock, made me cry everytime I started it up. The sounds eminating from under the hood were unreal. I drove the car, I didn't ride in it. I wish I coulda brought it back. (costs too much for a poor Sergeant)

I liked the green Eclipse and the orange Supra, i think those were the slickest cars...the skyline wuz aiight too...i don't understand tho, why they had that ugly old @$$ civic hatchback in the movie at all...hehe
 
They had the orange Supra on display at the Edwards cinemas in Irvine today.. It's the actual vehicle used in the movie. It was on sale for $100K too. You could do a LOT better for that much money, however.

I'd have to say my favorite was the RX-7, partially because my best friend has a tricked out (or on its way to being tricked out) RX7 and they are NICE.

a company called motorex has already imported the skyline over to America a while ago. $90,000...
too bad the steering wheel is still on the right hand side.

when i say import, i meant Nissan bringing them over for the mass market, as opposed to having a third party do the conversions which would end up costing like you said, $90,000.
