Just want to see what games on the Xbox are the most fun, most addiciting, and which have the greatest replay value. The one game that I can say I have gotten all my money worth from is World Series Baseball. I have owned it for about 4 months and gotten hundreds of hours of continous fun out of it. My roommate and I play every day to see who will wash dishes, dry clothes, or cook dinner next. LOSER always does some type of chore. Anyway, the graphics are the best I've seen for a baseball game on any console, the faces look real, the gameplay is very realistic (unlike Triple Play), and so much more. The only con to the game is that the right fielders throw a little slow to first base and it is fairly easy to steal a base every time w/ certain runners. Other than that, this game is flawless. I'm just surprised more people haven't mentioned how great this game is!

Post your favorite Xbox game and tell why you like it!

Well, as soon as Malice comes out, it'll be my favourite. That's why I bought the freaking XBox for. Stupid Sierra, promise me it'll be out at launch... :p

Top 10, in ascending order:

10 - Whacked! - Quite addictive when played against human opponents over Xbox Live!
9 - Gunvalkyrie - So beautiful, you won't mind its steep learning curve.
8 - Robotech: Battlecry - If you are a Robotech fan, this is a no-brainer. If you are like me, this will do until somebody wakes the H*** up and does a Cowboy Bebop title.
7 - Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions - I rented this and could not stop playing it. Mrs. Tallgeese said it was the closest thing she had ever seen to my real-life driving :frown: (once you play it, you'll understand the frown).
6 - Sega GT 2002 - Deep and beautiful racing sim.
5 - Rallisport Challenge - So beautiful, and such tight controls. Made me a begrudging fan of rally racing.
4 - Jet Set Radio Future - Even better than Jet Grind Radio for the Dreamcast, which was a watershed achievement in its own right.
3 - Project Gotham Racing - Its all about the STYLE baby!
2 - Dead or Alive 3 - Mmmmmmmmmm...quite a physics model. Get the Booster Pack for some even better outfits. :D
1 - Halo - If you own an Xbox, and you haven't played through to the end yet...IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY DO IT THIS WEEKEND!

Nice post TallGeese, I just got an Xbox 2 days ago and have 3 of those games. Sega GT and Jetset Radio (new deal) and Halo. At first I hated Halo because of the controls....but Im slowly getting used to it;)

Im not sure what to think about Jetset Radio, I didnt play the first one and Im not really a fan of Celshading. Even after reading a review and the manual the point of the game escapes me, Just spray paint? Im not seeing what everyone that says it is good is seeing....:(

Oh Well....those games will let me know what to rent next:)

Probably Project Gotham racing... although that will change when NHL 2k3 and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance come out.

Halo is the current king; best combo of graphics, sound, and fun gameplay.

Splinter Cell will be the interim king, until Halo 2 is released next year. If you have an Xbox, get the new issue of OXM for the demo.

Going by hours spent playing, my favorite game is (by far) MotoGP.

Better yet...pick up a free demo at your local TRU. It will include a coupon for $5 off the game when it's released (and bought at TRU, naturally).

And YES....the Splinter Cell demo is SWEET SWEET CANDY!!!! :D

BTW, be sure and check out the BIG LIST - Xbox Deals thread over in AT's Hot Deals forum

I agree COMPLETELY about World Series Baseball. And I haven't been much of a baseball fan since the lockout season. This game is very realistic except for defensive fielding. I dive and get to just about every infield ball and outfield flies are easy unless it's in the gaps. Anyway, the hitting is unmatched and very precise. I play on pro mode and it's pretty much like the real thing... aiming in every direction and swinging when/where you think the pitch arrives. The physics is very real.

The animations are great too - except when the same thing is repeated a lot. Turning double-plays could be smoother... and more errant throws would add to the realism. But nonetheless... they really put a lot of thought into the game. Sega Sports does a good job. I've been looking for a forum that discusses this game in depth, but to no avail. Anyway, when I have the money, I will check out NHL2k3 from Sega also.

Morrowind... With Halo a close second.

I think Mech Assault will be the most promising game of the Holiday season. Everyone who has played it has said that it's amazing. Splinter Cell will likely be a close second.
