What's your favorite tea?

Raspberry, with a little sugar and creamer.
Earl Grey is good too.

Wasn't there a recent thread about this?

Oh shiza. There was. I noobed out. But there can never be too many threads about favorite herbs! 😛

If you're from the South (not moved there later), you know there only exists one kind of tea... sweet!

It is easy to see how the Yanks are slowly invading our culture when at a restaurant you order tea and the waitress actually bothers to ask sweetened or unsweetened. Blasphemy!

Tea...should be drunk without sugar. I know very well that I am in a minority here. But still, how can you call yourself a true tealover if you destroy the flavour of your tea by putting sugar in it? It would be equally reasonable to put in pepper or salt.

I like good Jasmine tea, but some types have a bitter aftertaste that is unpleasant. Based on this I prefer Ginger tea because it is rarely bad, although I'd still take a good Jasmine Tea over it. The best Jasmine Tea I've had was at a restaurant in NYC's Chinatown, I believe it was Oriental Garden.

I like the Lipton tea, ice cold, mixed as 1 part-tea, 1 part-water,2,153,245,661 part-suger. Basically liquid sugar, with a hint of tea, colored to resemble tea. I am from the south....no hot tea for me.

I original posted in this thread:

I'm a coffee person, but I drink tea sometimes. Any green tea works for me. Jasmine tea is also nice. Something called lemon tea (?) is also a favorite. Tea from Sri Lanka (or Ceylon tea) is good stuff as well. Indian tea is kinda different, but interesting. They make it strong and I think they add ginger. In the streets of Bombay they sell tea in small cups for 5c-10c, they call it "cutting chai" and it's awesome stuff. If you drink it in a bigger cup, they just call it "chai" and it's twice the price 🙂

although I'm not sure what pressed ginger is. I buy whole ginger root at the store and cut a few thin slices and drop em in my tea.

nothing like the scent of fresh cut ginger root!

Lately I have been hung up on a few teas in particular:
Ti Kuan Yin
Dragon Phoenix Pearl
Gunpowder Green
and a derivative of Moroccan Mint called Casablanca Twist that uses Darjeeling instead of gunpowder.
