What's your favorite sipping Rum? w/article

I like spiced rum neat. Not so big on "sipping rums" but, then again, I don't think I've ever had a really good one. I had Appleton Estates a long time ago when my palette was less refined; wasn't a fan. I looked for some Flor de Cana recently as suggested in another rum thread, but couldn't find any locally.

both Mount Gay and Appletons older offerings are good (extra old and 21)
Flor De cana has a different taste but is also very enjoyable

Seven Fathoms is supprizingly easy to drink straight. its actually one of the best rums i have had. which is great considering its cheap. Only downside is i have to fly to the Caymans to get it. that 500$ plane ticket makes it less cheap

I have some Havana Club Añejo Especial (actually from Cuba). Head some good things but... any good to drink straight?

Flor de Cana 7 year old is great and as you go older, it gets more mellow and smooth.

Brugal Extra Viejo is my favorite vacation rum (meaning Im loaded all day and keep filling my glass with rum and ice when its empty).

I enjoy Rum and Single Malt Scotch, so lately I've been enjoying THIS:

Admiral Nelson. That stuff is cheap, smooth, and freakin' delicious. It's like alcoholic vanilla cream soda 🙂

If you have why not take a sip of it any try it? Or am I missing something here?

I will... later. I was just curious to get others' opinions on it if they've tried it.

I once drank the admiral right from the handle. Bad times.

I never have been able to drink rum, all that sugar just gives me terrible headaches. I'll stick with Glenlivet Nadurra for sipping.
