pretty sad, but i read an article that Kiefer Sutherland drinks J&B scotch so I tried it and I had the best drunk without a hangover ever so I usually drink it with ice and a little water, but I'm trying others. Tonight I'm trying Johnnie Walker Black Label and it's not bad but not as smooth as J&B. I also tried Glenlivent single malt and I didn't like the taste....

anything else?

How topical! I was just across the street having a beer and a sub with my room mate at the sub shop, and we went next door to my buddies liquor store to pick up some vodka and I was commenting about how expensive blue label is and how I've never had scotch, and my friend (the owner) asked if I wanted a sample...of blue label! He had some behind the counter and poured us each about half a shot. Pretty tasty stuff, but I think he may have ruined scotch for me (probably can't drink a $30 bottle now heh)

I paid $36 for my bottle of black label, but I hear blue label is much better.

I enjoy the Glenlivet 18 year. Aberlour 15 year is good too. If you want to try something really distinctive taste some Laphroaig. Very very very intense smoky flavor. Blue is a very nice blend.

Glenmorangie 18 year is one of the smoothest drinks I've had. It's fairly expensive at $100+ a bottle though.

There are many different scotches to try, don't let the snobs tell you what to drink. Just sample until you find some that you like.

J&B is garbage, Johnny Black is certainly better IMO.

Glenlivet is Single Malt, so not really comparable to the blends.

My favorite scotch hands down is Glenrothes.

I bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green Label in Scotland once. That's about the extent of my scotch highlights.

In general, I tend to drink more blends and bourbon. My cocktail of choice is a Manhattan on the rocks, and scotch just isn't good in that IMHO.

Macallan 25yr. 18yr isnt bad either. I am also partial to Oban, and Glenkinchie.
