What's your favorite PC6400 ram in the $200-300 range?

This is my first build. I just want a meduim overclock. 400mhz fsb = 3.6Gig right?
I'd read that Buffalo FireStix is a micron D9.. chip. I was about to order that, but newegg is out of stock.
I'd read crucial IS micron, but not all micron chips are great?
Anyways, kind of t.m.i. at this point.
What is a good, stable ram in the $200-325 price range.

guaranteed Micron for less than others = WIN!

everyone over at XS is telling people to just buy cheap Micron D9 memory and don't play binning (ever since people like OCZ and Corsair started swapping micron out of lower end lines and charging an arm and a leg).

I have the OCZ Platinum Revision.0 2GB(2x1GB) DDR2-800 4-5-4-15 2.1V RAM, and it works just fine, running at better than spec (DDR2-800 4-4-4-15 @ 1.8V). You can overclock your (I'm assuming) Conroe E6300 to 400MHz FSB, and with a 1:1 memory strap, you'll only just be getting to the stock speed of the memory.

My favorite inexpensive DDR2 6400 RAM is this G.Skill F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ at $209:

I'm using it with the P5B-E and it works fine at 400FSB 1:1 with 1.9V. You don't need Micron D9 chips to reach 400FSB. Any RAM rated at DDR2 6400 will work at 400FSB at stock settings.

right, but if you want more, your memory has to do it. Also not everyone can get 400Mhz FSB stable with 1066 strap. Also 4:5 always produces better results at any FSB for a P965.

Any good memory that can do cas4 DDR2-800 do 400Mhz FSB with 9x Multi for 3.6Ghz no brainer.

should work fine. Boot 1 stick change to 2.2v and timings 4-4-4-12 (adjust later as needed). Shutdown, install 2nd stick and rock on.
