I've cooked hundreds of brats and haven't used mustard once. Sauerkraut is where it's @ IMO, but I only rarely use that. I've got to try simmering in the beer and onions before grilling though....

i broil the brats in the beer/onions then grill them. when they are done i throw them back in the beer/onions (on low) until someone wants one.

They are great. they are good plain or with some of the onions or kraut.

It's pretty much the most wonderful mustard ever conceived. It's got a nice kick, it's fantastically delicious, and wonderfully textured. It level of greatness is vast and cannot be achieved by any other mustard.

I stayed with an evil ex of mine for over 2 years just because she introduced me to Boetje's mustard, it's that awesome of a mustard. And she was truly evil and horrible.
