"Falsettos" is way up there for me (Act 1 - March of the Falsettos, Act II - Falsettoland). Just brilliant.

Others that come to mind, and/or shows I'd recommend:
Little Shop of Horrors
Cabaret
Sweeney Todd
Avenue Q
Ragtime
Hedwig & the Angry Inch
Forever Plaid
Robber Bridegroom

Have yet to see Phantom. Saw Les Miz a couple times. It didn't live up to what I'd built the show/music up to be. Listened to the Symphonic Recording dozens of times, and the touring show just couldn't compare, at least in my eyes/ears. My favorite character, Javert, lacked all the emotion I was expecting.

The King and I - Written and Produced by Peter Griffin

"Siam, 2015 AD. The city lies in ruins after the ninth nuclear World War. It is a grim future with lots of explosions and partial nudity. A future where an oppressive new king has seized power. Only one man can stop him. No, one machine."

If that's the only one you've seen, no wonder it bored you. Try seeing a show that doesn't suck before you write off the entire genre.

My favorite is Pippin followed closely by Godspell, Little Shop Of Horrors and Man Of La Mancha. Honorable mention for Tommy, Rent, Hedwig and Miss Saigon which are already starting to appear dated despite being good shows.

I can barely remember all the shows I've done or seen...

I saw this musical in NYC a couple months ago...

It's called the XXnd (don't know the exact number) Annual Putnam something Spelling Bee. Seriously the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. Hands down.

I will say Chicago because Bebe Neuwirth has the most unbelievable pair of legs...

I will add Something Happened On The Way To The Forum because Nathan Lane is awesome.

It was profiled on NPR recently. Amazing how one can take something fairly mundane like a spelling bee and turn it into a musical.

May fave is Phantom followed closely by Cats.
