Talking Classical, etc...

Mine is Johann De Meij's Lord of the Rings...

Also, the instrumental to West Side Story is pretty cool...

Lets hear your favorites... (links if possible...)

whats that one they play in bugs bunny all the time???

seriously though, the nutcracker sweet has a little piece called Fantasia in it..I seriously enjoyed playing that back when I was in orchestra...I dont listen to too much classical these days

Why does it have to be classical?

Hmm, Hard decision..

Probably Iced Earth - The Something Wicked Trilogy.

Leonard Bernstein and Johann De Meij are a bit...modern....to be classical, anyway.

I'm not really familiar with a lot of classical music, but we listened to a piece called "Les Preludes" by Franz Liszt in my music history class in high school. I really liked it. Anything by Mozart or Beethoven is also good.

Vivaldi - works for lute (RV 82, 85, 93, 540) as performed by Jakob Lindberg (BIS CD-290)

Close runner-ups are
* Sharon Isbin's playing of Bach's lute pieces on guitar
* Joemy Wilson's hammered dulcimer versions of Turlough O'Carolan's planxties (Irish Celtic music).
