What's your favorite movie based on a Stephen King novel?

I know I didn't poll ALL of them, so don't flame me if you like "The Langoliers" or some other poorly adapted movie. Other then that, you know what you doing. My pick goes to Shawshank but I loved so many others like The Green Mile and Stand By Me. It sucks they (Hollywood) couldn't make some of his greatest works into better movies, I'm glad they got some right but it's still amazing all these stories could come from one man.

The Shining for the horror stuff. The Shawshank Redemption and Stand by Me are a close match in the 'regular' fiction genre. Personally, I'd love to see an adaptation of the Long Walk.

I had no clue shawshank was by him. I definitely chose that one.

For horror its a tie between Pet Semetary and The Shining.

P.S. I don't read at all either 😛
