Lemonfish
Flounder
Orange roughy

Edit: I can't believe how many people like salmon. I almost puked the first (and only) time that I ever tried it.

Talapia
Orange Roughy
Flounder

Anyone have an easy but good recipe for Talapia? Normally, I just marinate it in a lemon/butter/herb mixture and broil it in the oven and serve with brown rice. I love it but I wouldn't mind trying something different with it, but nothing too fancy.

Salmon sucks. Salmon is the fish for people who hate fish but want to look classy by ordering fish instead of steak in a restaurant.

Monkfish, but it's hard to find, and real hard to find fresh. At least in the U.S.

I described a marinade for tilapia earlier in the thread. Basically it was soy sauce, white rum, lemon juice, ground ginger, garlic, salt and pepper. I liked it. I baked three fliets in it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or so.

Poor Bud and Sandy, I'm sure they're sad now that Flipper has been eaten. Flipper was their pet.

The brined & smoked salmon I make is to die for.

But I'm also a sucker for Mahi Mahi and seared yellow fin steak.

I've tried Monkfish because I heard that it's the poor man's lobster. Ehhhhh.... I didn't really like the texture. I'm not quite sure where they got the "lobster" part from. Didn't taste or feel anything like lobster. But then again the monkfish may not have been fresh.

Oh, I love smoked salmon when I go to places like Seattle. I actually prefer the species of salmon that's kinda dry and doesn't have much oil, which is good for me because that also happens to be the cheapest :)

Try getting smoked salmon at Costco. It's not really that expensive. I love smoked salmon. A year ago a local Safeway was getting rid of a lot of smoked salmon. The packages were marked down from $12.00 a pound to $5.00. I bought ten pounds. I ate about five pounds in 2 days. I took the rest to work where my colleagues made it disappear.

I probably eat tuna most frequently.

My favorite is fresh flounder.

We took a charter boat down at the Outer Banks and caught a heck of a lot of tuna, mahi mahi, and some flounder.

All of those were very good. You can't beat fresh fish!
