What's your favorite CS:S gun?

mp5/tmp both of those enable you to run really fast 😀 p90 is good too but I just dont like how it sounds, too drone-like. not stylish enough 😛 But of course ak is good weap for teh money. hmm basically any weapon could be good if used properly/in proper situations

automatic shotgun (office)
default handgun when ct (dust2)

dont' know why, but i can't use colt or ak effectively, also don't get me on the automatic sniper rifles it's over and they usually boot me from game.

Yeah i'll do that too. I have the mac 10 and tmp bound to the same key. I like to take the ump when i'm not worried about the other team. Use that and glock burst shots for fun.
 
I dont play source cause it sucks compared to 1.6...but...

I didnt even know there were other guns besides the AK, Colt, AWP, MP5, and deagle. Why on earth would u buy anything else?

Makes you move to slow, thats what I hate about it. I prefer the galili or whatever that the Ts have. That thing just sounds mean. But again, that also makes you move to slow.

Yep. The best way to deal with AWPs in my experience is to flank them. You try to use your m4/ak to fight them long range you're going to lose.

I played 1.6 since it was 1.4 and it was good but I usually will start playing the newer version of a game right when it comes out because the older one will eventually die out. Might as well move along and not dwell in the past!
 
I don't like source but when I played it I liked the AWP because it had no delay. Reminded me of the good days in regular CS.

What makes you say that? It's very quick with follow-up shots, reasonably powerful, decent magazine capacity and it sounds awesome.

The gun looks good on paper but it's not accurate enough for my tastes. The p228 and the 5-7 are the worst pistols IMO.
 
I'm pretty good with 95% of the weapons. My fav is probably TMP/P90 close range with the M4A1/Aug long range. I hate the AWP I might get flamed for this but I don't care. I think its way over powered. I think it should take 2 shots in the chest to kill someone with armor. Or at least one shot should leave you with a little health. I try to avoid servers with awps.
 
I really like the Clarion w/Burst Fire. It's a cheap, well-balanced weapon IMO. I really like the AK, but I favor CT so I rarely get to use it. The M4 is a distant choice to the Clarion and AK, while the rest are all pretty much rubbish in my book.

High power sniper riles are a very real thing. I don't see the problem with a 1 shot kill rifle. I own with the scout quite a bit but the whole idea of a sniper is to kill before being noticed. It's great when you shoot someone in the chest with a high caliber sniper rifle, they shrug it off then turn around and blast you.

Depending on the map the speed penalty of the FAMAS outweighs it's benefits. Although it is very affordable.
 
Gun choice depends on map. For close-range like CS_Office, I would go for Deagle/USP for pistol, P90/Mp5 for SMG, Galil/M4 for Rifles. For more open space, same for pistol, Mp5 for SMG, AK/M4 for Rifle.

Galil is under-valued rifle in close encounter maps like CS_office. It spray area is something between a M4 and AK, ROF is faster than AK & M4(not confirmed). It's great weapon to spray down the hall or quick turn on a corner. Even in more open maps, Galil is good for those who likes to rush in.

P90 is also great in CS_office because a short burst of P90 is as accurate as Mp5 and 50-round clip is excellent for suppressing an area or mad surprise rush.

Shotgun is fun, if you like the challenge. Auto-ShotGun is great way to go against 1 or 2 opponents.

I like the compact as well. I think its a solid weapon, but the reason its not used is its only slightly better then the USP...which is free. There's no reason to buy it as CT. As T its an option, but most go for the duallies or deagle if buying a pistol. Plus, you might be able to just pick a USP up off the ground thats almost as good.

Compact seems like it has good power to me.

I used to hate the AK when I first started playing and prefered the M4 because its recoil is more manageable. But the deadly accurate first shot is great, and once you learn to control the recoil it just feels like the better gun. And its cheaper to boot.
