Speaking in terms of the big comapy shit candy we have here in the states. I occasionally partake in a candy bar. And the only three I'll buy are in Fav. order:

1) KitKat

2) Snickers

3) Milkyway Dark.

Most of the time however, I'll have a Lindt truffle once a day.

Snickers used to be my #1, although they don't taste the same as they did in the past (not to mention, they're way smaller).

Twix are awesome.

Kit-Kats are great.

Goo-Goo Clusters are excellent, if you can find them (if you consider them a bar).

Part of the problem is that chocolate has changed so much in America over the years. I used to love Mr. Goodbars, but Hershey's chocolate has the mouthfeel & taste of wax these days. My buddy just dropped off some chocolate from his trip to Italy, and not that it's explicitly outstanding, but it's just real, authentic chocolate...good enough to eat on its own, like the old Hershey bars were. Some interesting reading on that:

Two of the most popular high-volume, fast-producing varieties are CC-N51 in Ecuador and Cacao Mercedes in West Africa, which can both conceivably produce fruit in as little 18 months after being grafted. But cacao of this pedigree is generally low quality when it comes to taste and better suited for bulk production of cocoa butter and cocoa mass—critical for making Snickers but a detriment when it comes to crafting a quality bar with few ingredients.

I miss the candy of the 80's & 90's. Our shelf-stable options today can take a hike :p If you want to whip it old-school, try this easy batch of microwave caramels:

Soooooo much better that what's inside a Milky Way or Snickers bar these days!

I enjoy a Baby Ruth.

I like peanut M&M's too. Little round candy bars.

I agree with your top three, but I'd put the Milkway Dark above Snickers.

Wow, hard to say. Probably the one with the most sentimental value is Chunky. They go great with coffee. Chew some up, leave the chocolate in your mouth, then chase it with coffee. Haven't seen that in ages though.

Goldenbergs peanut chews are probably my current favorite. I'm a fan of candybars of all kinds, but very seldomly buy them. At halloween I cheat, and buy a bunch extra so I have leftovers. Didn't do it this past year though. I gave out full size toblerones, and only had a couple left over. I still have two of them somewhere, but I lost them. I put them away, and forgot where I put them. I intended to give them as jul gifts, so they could be anywhere, and not just in food locations :^/

I'd go with:

Peanut Butter M&Ms
Peanut M&Ms
KitKat

If you don't consider M&Ms to be candy bars, Twix and Heath Bar. Peanut butter cups of all kinds are generally pretty good as well.

It's hard to decide I find sometimes I crave one more than the other. We have a "store" at work that's stocked with all sorts, hard to decide which I like best.

I do enjoy Coffee Crisp and Mr. Big quite a lot. Mr. Big because you get a lot out of it. Kit Kat is good too.

There's a new peanut butter Oh Henry as well. It's to die for.

Ferrero Rocher
Kit-Kat
Snickers

Oh schnap, someone just brought in Ferrero Rocher! Those are amazing. Lindzor Truffles a bit next, then peanut butter cups.Gotta keep the ball rolling. Although why did this thread morph into something only 3 deep?

This is true. I think this why Snickers ice cream bars exist, though.

Oh snap, I'd like to change my answer because I forgot about those. Snickers ice cream bars are my #1 favorite :D

KitKats, Reeses peanut butter cups and Smarties (not the US smarties candy, its a candy coated chocolatel ike M&Ms in Canada- which we also have).

Incidentally, I collect KitKat branded items- it's not an easy hobby as it's not popular enough in North America

U-NO I really like, and Ghirardelli Cherry Tango, and dark chocolate mine patties.

And peanut butter M&M's. and Reese's cups and Reese's Pieces.

I liked the fruit liquid filled Lindt bars but haven't seen them in years.

And the Thin Mint Nestle Wafer cookies that are rarely made, also last had years ago.

I hear they're different in England. I tried them there, but wasn't sure. But England might have more stuff, they're popular there.
