Too many people here are naming individual makes of beers...not "brands".
Chevrolet is a "Brand" made up of individual models.
Miller is a "Brand" made up individual beers...MGD, Icehouse, Miller Lite, High Life, ect.

I have found that Black Butte Porter is more or less the bottled, concentrated form of unadulterated sex.

I post this in most favorite beer threads: Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
I bought some of this and poured the rest of my 1 bottle out. 5 pack sitting in my fridge still. I am not a fan of the celebration ale.

Ha.. I was going to originally say that I think Black Butte drinkers are hacks and that their porter is just a watered down version of ObsidianIts a great beer but it always just leaves me wanting the stout.
I think one thing we can agree on is that Mirror Pond and Inversion are still better than anything else you'll find at a 7-Eleven (besides Black Butte and Obsidian)

When I'm in a stouty mood, I usually drink Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. It's expensive and hard to come by though, so I usually just go for a porter.
7-11 is usually pretty worthless unless you're looking to pick up a 12 or 18 pack of something cheap. The Albertsons near my place has a good selection of regional microbrews, so my snobby thirst never goes unquenched.

If you're in Seattle there is probably a store with a huge selection somewhere near you. In Tacoma a local Deli had tons of beers from all around the world, including some Trappists and microbrews from around the country. Its like Christmas morning when I find a store that beats the selection of my current favorite![]()

I haven't yet found a place like that in north Seattle. Happy's Market in Ellensburg has the biggest beer selection I've ever seen. It's basically 3 walls of beer with a bunch of unimportant (i.e. non-beer) stuff in the isles in the middle. One wall is pretty much all microbrews and imported beer. It's pretty much the best part of Ellensburg.
