Inuyasha is my favorite action anime. Of course I just got Chobits yesterday. just finished watching it. I have to say that the last episode was a real tearjerker. Although I have still never cried to anything on a TV screen. (Anyone who says though that they weren't moved by SOMETHING on TV is putting up a front. Also The more I watch the more I seem to like s-CRY-ed. I'll see. Then there's Ai Yori Aoshi and Love Hina which are good. I love my anime :)

I can't pick a single favorite, I like too many.

Chobits
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Outlaw Star
Hellsing
Serial Experiments Lain
Love Hina

Those are my favorites, depending on my mood, heh. I've also been following Eureka seveN as it's being FanSubbed, and fully intend to buy it when/if it comes state side available.

All the Studio Ghibli movies (Mononoke, Totoro, Spirited Away, etc.)
Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
RahXephon
Kino's Journey
Bubblegum Crisis (the original, mostly because it's one of the first I watched)
Legend of Black Heaven (I own over 1,000 music CDs, how can I resist "Hard Rock Saves the Space"?)

My faves:

Bebop - A classic.
Detective Conan - Man this is like playing a freakin board game it's so addictive.
Lupin III - Best comedy anime.
Gundam (Wing only) - The robots are classic. Great storyline.

I only saw a few episodes of but thought they were really cool:

Paranoia Agent - This is weird stuff. Ingenius.
Samurai Champloo - Best samurai anime, definately better than that Kenshin crap.

Okay, you all lose. The best anime of all time is Berserk. Immediately following that you should read the manga, all 28 volumes.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. I've pretty much every series in this thread, and Eva is the best. Kenshin is probably my second favorite, but no where clsoe to NGE.

isn't Berserk still ongoing? It's getting published at a very very slow pace just like Tenjou Tenge. :(

 for a man with balls. So much better than the whiny girly-men for in most animes.

Well, it gets released in a magazine. After a certain number of episodes a volume is published. I think it's been going since 1989 or so. I can't read Japanese, so I've just got to wait for the next volume to be released. Should be sometime this year. I've heard rumors of more of the anime being produced, but at the moment there are only 24 episodes.
