does that make sense? Yeah i'm a student, and i added "300 dollars" for college books in the tuition section - but its more like 600 USD, but I don't know if that is allowed to be counted as an expense...

if i get back 1200 that'll make me happy :D That is like 2 months of rent and 3 months of utilities!

Sounds about right. It is not what you paid in taxes, it is what is withheld. Certain things are NOT paid back (SS for one IIRC). There's basically a number (somewhere between 8-9k) where you don't pay taxes up to that amount.

Last year I got back about 150k, I don't think this year I'll be that lucky! Right now I think I owe about 35k (est payment Jan 1), then should be pretty even. So, I guess 0

It thinks we owe $19,000 WTF! Thats impossible. Those dumb fvcks can't even figure out their own taxes. I'll stick with turbotax.

Wrong, just means you've ALREADY paid it ;)

heh, true. thanks for the correction.

My refund looks to be around 400 bucks. Which is around where I want it to be. I ain't giving the gubment no interest free loan. That's like taking 500 bucks of interest and burning it every year.

Think how I felt last year ;) (then again, I got into one of the weird cases where you simply couldn't avoid it and had to loan them the money)

Says I'll owe $288. That shouldn't be far off - I tried to be careful with my exemptions calculation so that I would have about the exact right amount of tax withheld.

Figuring straight out, it shows around $2900. BUT, we have nearly $60,000 in medical expenses, so that should bump it up a notch! (I wonder if you can get backmore than you paid in? :))
(I have $100 week extra deducted from FIT from back in the days when I farmed a lot, that means I pay in considerably more than I really should. Need to change that, though, since I plan on having no more income sources much from now on out.)

Owe $350, estimated. :( That's about double what I was expecting. Oh well, I was expecting to owe, so it's not a big surprise.

I claim two exemptions all year long so my monthly paycheck is bigger. I'd rather have the extra money than give someone an interest-free loan.

About $900. I think I need to re-do my W-4 for 07 so I get more on my paychecks.

Heh, last year I had to pay over 6k in taxes because me being an idiot didn't realize that (for 12 paystubs!) that I wasn't getting income tax taken out. :(
