didn't feel like typing all the names, so I took a picture.

So, basically, you don't have one?

He might have a nice divx collection, but divxs quality sucks compared to dvd i dont care what anyone says.

I dont buy dvds I will just rent them as I cant justify spending $10-$15 on something Ill probally only watch once.

I put my very best DVDs on my hard drive, because I know Ill watch them alot. I divx them, and their quality is outstanding. Ive seen plenty of crappy divx's in my day, but the ones I do are great. I usually shoot for 2-3 GB per movie, sometimes more. I keep the AC3 audio intact.

The Simpsons episodes are especially nice to have on my hard drive, no sifting through discs. I just wish they'd put them out quicker.

I have almost every DVD I've ever had in a high quality rip on my HD, and maybe a couple dozen on official discs.

My DVD collection is currently 81 titles. The highlights are the Back to the Future boxed set, Band of Brothers, Die Hard boxed set, FOTR extended, Pearl Harbor Director's Cut, The Rock Criterion Collection, Simpsons season 1 and 2. Got some other good stuff. Comedies (both American Pies, Road Trip, Super Troopers, etc.), drama (American Beauty, Thirteen Days to name a couple), action (Braveheart, Patriot, Die Hard, etc.), etc. Pretty decent collection, I think. I'm always looking to build it, but I'm really short on money right now, so I doubt if there will be any additions between now and May when I go back to work over the summer.

Edit: One of my friends just reminded me that I also have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle trilogy :) Yay for nostalgia.

I don't watch movies very often - and most movies, if I watch it once, that's usually enough for me. But some movies I decided are good enough that I like to watch them over again, and those are the movies that I try to buy. With the recent 5 for $25 deal @ CH.com, I picked up some classics - Blade Runner, Braveheart, Shakespeare in Love, Fifth Element & Final Fantasy. Most of the rest of my collection has been gifts, and they include City of Angels, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Matrix, Spaceballs, Officespace, Sixth Sense, etc.

It's a small collection, but it's doing pretty well. And once I graduate in May & (hopefully) get a job, then I'll have a little more money to spend on movies.

What I don't understand is - why do people have like huge collections of movies that they never watch?? I'm partially guilty of this too (I've only got a small collection), but like IBuyUFO - 300 dvds and most are unopened?? Why??
