America owns muscle cars period.

America owns going fast in a straight line. But Europe owns going fast on curvy roads.
I'll take a GT40 against ANY german car

Are you talking about the ford that was designed by a European (and built in England until the last batches)? :)

Sorry, I just get a kick out of the fact that one of the best American cars was neither designed or built in America... :)

GT40 Designed and Built in England :)
From your link:

The MK-IV
There were 12 of these built by Kar Kraft in Michigan.

Engines:

All 427s.
These were American cars and an American team won the 1967 24 hours of Le Mans. It was a two man team of Dan Gurney and A. J. Foyt driving MK-IV serial number J-6.

This is the last model that was offered by Ford.

I know. I'm just being an ass. :)

An AC Cobra 427... little car, big engine :)
Or a '63 Vette
Maybe a '69 GTO Judge (Oddly, I know a man that has one of these. He wanted to give it to his son for his 16th birthday, his son declined and took a clarinet instead, saying the GTO was 'Ugly')

Ha easy, Saleen S7....

I always find it interesting to see people who respond with Subaru or Infinity or some other lower cost car...sure it is nice to aspire to own what is easily afforded with some real work but for a "dream car" I don't see how some wouldn't want a supercar.
