Is there a free credit rating site for me to take it without strings attached? I have a feeling that it's high, though. I get too many offers that I don't care for. :p I only have four credit card accounts that I maintain. I accepted five, but one filed bankruptcy I pay my bills on time and in full. Yes, I know people say that could backfire, but it hasn't so far! Besides, my savings account will save me from the need to borrow in a few years. I'm even looking forward to a nice condominium with my own down payment (no loans for down payment) and some balance left in a few years. :D

I'd love to check my credit, but don't want to pay $14.95 CDN for it. :p Any free credit check websites for Canadians?

 669 on a scale that went to 950
I didn't realize it, but I have a lot of open accounts. The cards were chopped up long ago but I never closed the accounts. I guess it's time to get to work and to clean up the mess.

I spent about 8 years after high school working crappy minimum wage jobs and going to school part time, off and on, at 4 different schools.
I had lots of late payments over 90 days and 3 credit cards went to collection agencies.

June 2001 - FICO score = 495. Got my second BS (Computer Science), got decent paying full-time job, started paying all bills on time, bought 10,000 car at 19.9% interest.(ouch)

September 2002 - FICO score = 597. Bought first house(FHA loan at 6.5%)

I still haven't had any late payments for over 2 years now, but I have a Capital One card that is at 90% of the limit and I have inquiries from two car shopping trips (2 months apart).
So I'm curious what it is at now.

Last spring when we were going through the process of buying our place, we were both over 800. Between that purchase and buying a pickup, we're both somewhere in the mid 700s. Being anal about money pays off.

i've never checked. I figure I used to be pretty high, but I've been riding a 2k credit card balance for about 6 months now. probably somewhere in the 500's by this point. and there havent been any free credit checks lately.

Oh no way I highly doubt your score dropped into the 500s because you kept a balance. My gas card and my secured Visa both have high balances and my score is up to 590 from 525.

Whats the lowest possible score?, im at about 525. Does Student loans reflect in this? You guys have some good credit!!!

Thats is so far from true. The average is around 680. I got that from my mortage rep at Wells Fargo, one of the largest lenders is Anerica.
