According to your BMI, you are obese. Your blood pressure looks good, especially for being heavy.

You need to eat better.

hmmm...just got a physical, actually, but my report's upstairs. 158 total, but very good ratio from what my dad tells me. I had high cholesterol when I was younger, but no more! Other than that, what's the BMI rating mean? I'm sure it says in the report, but I just ate and don't feel like moving.

Mind you, I'm not fat. Too damn skinny, actually 🙂

nah bmi is very debatable as a measure of obesity. a more accurate measure is that analysis when they put you under water.

oh BMI is body mass index? i think.

total chol. 136 (norm. 120-199)
HDL Chol. 26 (L) (norm. 40-59)
LDL Chol. 64 (L) (norm. 80-99)
Chol/HDL 5.2 (norm. 3.4-9.6)
Trig. 229 (H) (norm. 25-149)

As you can probably tell I eat too much pasta. I'm eatin more protien now tho so this will soon change.

Here's mine;
Cholesetral 149
LDL-Chol 72
HDL-chol 54.1
Chol/HDL 2.8
Triglycerides 117

Not bad for a 69 year old, eh?

Mine cholestorol was 295 in high school. But they said the ratio was really good, don't remember exactly.
No idea what it is now, 400+ would be my guess....

Unless you are extremely muscular, there's not much debate here; you need to lose some weight.

Edit: assuming you're six feet tall, you would have to weigh almost 260 to have a BMI that high. You're either fat or you're a hell of a football player. 😉

not a bad number... now about your cholesterol
😉

do you think it comes throught heredity, and you don't aggressively watch what you eat, or are you a health nut, vegan?

For those who wants to know, your Body Mass Index (BMI) is measured by:

Convert your height from inches to meters (eg. 70" x 0.0254 = ~1.78m)

Convert your body weight from pounds to kilograms (eg. 150lbs x 0.45 = ~68kg)

BMI = weight (kg) / height squared (m)
