I can't stand "uplifting" music when I'm depressed.

Sentenced/My Dying Bride/Skyclad/Tristania/Cradle of Filth are nice then, all depending on the exact mood.

Okay, if you want something depressing:

2) "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac
3) "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" by Simon & Garfunkel
4) "Brothers in Arms" by Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler
5) "Not Dark Yet" by Bob Dylan
6) "Standing in the Doorway" by Bob Dylan
7) "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber (or the choral version, "Agnus Dei")
8) "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven
9) "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak
10) "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner
11) "The Living Years" by Mike and the Mechanics
12) "Gortoz A Ran J'Attends" from the "Black Hawk Down" soundtrack

Then some old New Order and/or Joy Division ought to do nicely. Sisters of Mercy is a good choice, too.
