overnight all of the fans in the computer died, including the PSU fan. Is the problem something to do with the motherboard fan controller or the PSU has gone bad?? what do you guys think?

on a side note, there is a box fan blowing on it and somehow the processor hasnt fried...wow.

are all the fans on the same connector?

box fan the pc is running but the fans are not?

compusa has a PS tester for liek 10$ give that a whirl..but if the pc is running fine and the fans are not thats very odd inless they are on the same power connector..or they are part of a union on strike

it is possible for one line on the power supply to go bad while the others remain up. the fact that your power supply fan stopped isn't a good sign though. i'd replace that puppy right away. was it generic? if so get a nice 420 watta antec and your probs should be over.

BigJimbo, if the power supply fan has stopped, you don't need a ps tester to tell you its on the verge of death.
