I was idly looking for a new switch on ebay and I came across this.

The specs and price don't seem even remotely aligned.

As far as I can tell, this is a seriously badass switch. 72x 10G ports with 130 ns latency and Layer 2+ management.

Normally, I'd expect a price at least 10x what is being asked for a new sealed unit in box.

This sort of thing is a little overkill for my home LAN, so I'm unlikely to go buying one, but I am somewhat curious.

Ah. That wiki article explains it.

The company is dead. This looks like a bankruptcy auction of stock.
