Whats wrong with this setup?

Okay, i am a newbie to DSL/routers/etc. So take it easy on techy terms ok? 🙂
when i boot computer, i get this using IPCONFIG

Of course i cannot access internet with the above, but if i click repair on the lil monitors in the lower right corner, or use "IPCONFIG /renew" i get this below: and the connection works fine, i just dont know what to try/change as i am very new to all this,connection stays fine till next reboot.I dont know if its router or windows i need to work with

Your pc's not getting its a connection to dhcp when it first boots up, this is indicated by the 169.254.x.x address. A cheap fix would be to configure the nic on the pc manually with the info from your second ipconfig /all output.
 
yes i thought that may be the answer, just wasnt sure, still not quite sure what all needs added and where though. but appreciate the response. would still thought like to find out why it isnt working without renewing it if i could.
Im using a InterJac 200 router
