Or, the reflection of the doors of the washer and dryer seem to give conflicting sense of where the light is coming from, but that could be from the flash used for the picture.

Either style or sound, they might be trying to say that the things are quiet enough to sit by.

i was actually thinkn they were trying to say its so quiet you can put them in your bedroom.
