I can't see anything wrong with the exterior. Must be something inside, like engine problems.

It was owned by a teacher, that was getting rid of some formaldehyde and spilled it in the back seat.

Nope. Carfax does show it as a commerical vehicle with one owner. It also comes back as a Florida vehicle but the ad says CA.

I tried to email the guy and tell him I'll take it at $8000 but it crashed my browser. An omen?
 
I emailed him. But look at the title bar (in IE at least) for that ad. It has the word "bogus" in it.

Those five records will most likely be, sale, inspection, registration, resale and inspection, or something similar.

Probably a rental. 22k miles in a year is pretty high.
