What's wrong with Sears Grand?

I wandered into one of their stores today.

It was as dead as the Kmart before it, but cleaner, nicer, better merchandise.

Why isn't this catching on?

Lack of advertising?

isn't it a sears with food and such? there's one by me, but I have never been in it.

I's getting so that Sears is a slightly upscale K-mart since the big takeover. Product quality is going to hell, and their service & warranty have declined a lot as well. Even their service techs say things are getting much worse. Used to buy Kenmore appliances almost exclusively. Not any more.

they will stop exclusively selling kenmore and sell in companies such as bestbuy, i guarentee it. when this happens, they will lose their stores

Instead of Sears giving K-mart some class, K-Mart is now dragging down Sears. I hate going into K-Mart anymore...

For the record, though, I have never heard of a Sears Grand.

Around here, they replaced the regular Kmarts with "Sears Essentials". I can't stand the blue colors they used. Their decorator should be shot....Martha Stewart did better than that!

I liked Sears when I used to work there. It was always dead, though. Can't imagine them being around for much longer.

Since they don't actually MAKE Kenmore, I doubt that will happen. Kenmore applieances are just "major brand" appliances with the Kenmore name on them, often with a few minor feature differences.
