What's wrong with posting about All*Advantage?

I tried to break the news that the company has ended the pay-to-surf program, but the name is flagged "forbidden." Why?

I also suggest a rules page asap. Actions are taken sometimes that a lot of people, especially the new users, don't understand. Sure, I lurked around for awhile but still I can only pick up a little bit of the "etiquette."

because its a pay scheme....this forum isnt for profitting. and by banning that word, nobody can link their refferal id. same reason why e*bay is banned.

That just doesn't make sense to me. I mean all those coupons, though the codes have been banned, are still being used all over. Take the Hot Deals forum. Almost all the cheap stuff have mentions of some coupon that lowers the price. To me, it's more of a pay scheme and a worse one at that. After all, the pay-to-surf schemes are legitimate businesses, whereas a lot of these coupons shouldn't have been distributed in the first place. In other words, the use of coupons is a pay-to-do-nothing proposition. Even where the coupons are legitimate, eg. publicized $15 off $100 purchase, the scheme is really analogous to an ad bar: for the coupon, you pay a certain amount (to buy things) to get money; for the ad bar, you pay with time and eyeballs which let you get rewards. It's fine if you want to ban the referrals, but the programs themselves are more legitimate than some of these "Hot Deals."

its sort of useless flagging Ebay and AllAdvantage. Anyone with half a brain can still figure out how to link it without a prob, although I won't say how (i have a feeling it'll get into some trouble 😉)
