What's wrong with my L2410NM?

Just got a Westinghouse L2410NM for a GREAT price! I'm no gamer or anything like that, i just wanted to upgrade my POS 15" CRT they gave me at work with a nice workspace...

So, i took it out and hooked up to the VGA cable and set windows to display at 1920x1200. The thing looks TERRIBLE! As if it doesn't recognize what the PC is sending out to it. When I'm looking at he OSD, it shows resolution at 1680x1200.

Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Does your graphics card/onboard video support the monitors resolution? Have you tried re-installing the drivers for said onboard video/graphics card?

Whats your full system spec's?

If you have an nvidia card, turn off the nvidia scalar and let the monitor do it.

Use a DVI or HDMI cable. Alternatively, the monitor should have an "Auto Tune" adjustment which will attempt to rectify pixel and phase clocks on the analog signal you're feeding it, which should clean up the image some.

Finally, 1680x1200? I didn't even know that was a valid resolution. What video card do you have? Make sure the refresh rate setting is at 60Hz. Check to ensure that your video card supports 1920x1200, and that your drivers are up to date.

Onboard video appears to support...mode is 1920x1200@60Hz. I don't have admin rights to re-install drivers.

Ew, Intel 945 chipset. Okay, you may have some issues with that one at the resolution. One other thing, I had some serious problems with older Intel video drivers not supporting various resolutions correctly. For example, I could not for the life of me get a 945 to display 1366x768 for anything until I updated the drivers to a newer version.

You'll probably have to have your admin update to the latest and greatest driver on your machine.
