Whats wrong with my firefox?

My firefox wont display flash or something. I go to google finance and it wont display the chart cuz its flash. I go to youtube and the video wont show up. I downloaded the adobe flash player for firefox but it still doesent do anything. What am I missing?
 
A new version of Flash Player was just released (fixes a known security vulnerability, among other things). If you haven't already tried this, head over to http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer/ and get version 9.0.47.0 installed.

(edited... I had suggested uninstalling Flash from Add/Remove Programs, but I don't see it there on my test system 😕 )

Any good? 😕
