Having problem with one of my rigs.

When I turn it on it'll only POST halfway then the monitor dies. WTF! When it POST's, it'll show me the Video card, CPU, RAM, detects hd's, and the 'Press DEL to enter setup' message, then the monitor will turn off. I tried to enter the bios but looked like the keyboard wasn't getting any juice and non-funtional either. When the monitor dies, it seems like the computer is still running... fans are running, cd-rom led is blinking, and cpu fan's also running. Monitor and KB works since I'm using it right now.

The setup is;

900 tbird on Abit KT7
768M PC133 RAM
Voodoo 5 5500
Promise FastTrak 100
2x30G 75GXP IBM RAID 0 (yes, still working)
30G 75GXP IBM
30G Maxtor 5400
CD-Rom 52X
2X120mm fans
2X92mm fans
Enermax 350w

Any ideas? TIA

Darn... I really don't wanna take the whole board out! You don't think it's my power supply?

the psu COULD be going bad, if you have another psu that is around 300 watts that you could test, you should, hopefully it isn't the mobo.

i really don't think its the psu becuz in my experience, psu's going bad don't knock out one device at a time. it pretty much fubars everything. but hey, give it a shot... u got nothing to lose.

I'll try another PSU first since that's easier then pull-out the board if I have to. Thanks!

yeah normally when the psu goes bad, you just won't get any power, if it isn't enough power then it may affect only a few devices (I don't think that is the case tho, with 350 watts)
