What's wrong with my audigy and altec lansing 641?

ok, I have the audigy sound card and the 641s, the problem that I have is that when I play unreal tournament, when I select the gaming mode on the control for the 641, only 2 front speakers are on, the rear one didn't make a sound, but when I switch to stereo X2, 4 speakers works fine. What's wrong with it?
 
Make sure the surround wire from your speakers is hooked up to the line-out on the Audigy (the black connector IIRC). If it is, try a different wire if possible because the surround input on the speakers needs to be hooked up to the line-out in order for the gaming mode to work with the rear speakers.
