I checked the fuse, it's not the fuse. The AC light in on when i try to turn it on, but no cold air coming out. I was looking at the engine, when the ac was working before, you can see the buble spinning near the compressor. It's not doing it anymore.

Is my ac compressor bad?

It's 20 years old?

So a 20 years old car can't have a working ac system? It was working fine before. Still run very well at 232k on it.

86 definitely uses the old freon. I don't think he can. He'd have to retrofit his system, which depending on what needs to be replaced, from like 200 bucks or 400 bucks (if he has hookups) to 1200 bucks to install a new system.

buble?

AC fan?

Sounds like the sightglass that was used in older R-12 AC systems to watch for bubbles in the system.

Your problem could be anything from loss of Freon charge, blown compressor, to an electrical problem. It sounds like you don't know enough to fix it anyway so take it to a trusted mechanic and get an estimate.

i concur, this dosen't seem like the kind of guy that has his own set of manifold gauges.

My car has the r34 refrigerant now. It was converted about a year ago. I think I need a new compressor.
