I dont get it. I realized today (LAN PARTY!) that i need a smaller, lightweight case. But i cant bring myself to do it, no matter that i do.

THe case i have now has 5, 5 1/4 bays, and like 7, 3.5 bays.

OK, so any recomendations on an aluminum case? I really only "need" 3 (4 is good) 5 1/4 bays, and about 3-4 3.5inch bays.

I recommend the antec Lanboy
I've had mine for several days and I couldn't be happier with it. Airflow isn't a problem like I thought it might be with 1 exhaust. I'm overclocking a 2100+ tbredB to 2 ghz (need new ram) with mb temp of 27C and cpu barely breaks 40C under load. This is with a Alpha 8045U, a Blue LED fan intake, and a Panaflo exhaust.
The case itself has a very smooth look. window is nice. Only complaint is that the drive rails are gonna make it challenging to stealth my drive.
Case is VERY light. Less than 15lbs.

I bought that same case at Comp-USA yesterday for $69.95 w/ an Antec 300 watt PS.

I don't have the Lanboy case, but I do have an Antec SX830 entry-level server case and it is beautiful. Plenty of room. I have used quite a few Antec cases in my system builds and customer's systems as well.

Their 300W psu is normally enough for most applications....may need more if you are planning to fill up a case.

Do you really need 3 5.25" bays and 4 3.5" bays?

If you are truly using them all, then the case's weight isn't what is killing you...it is the insane amount of hardware you have crammed into the case that is weighing it down like a boat anchor!

I always think it's funny listening to people complain about the weight of their computer, as in they can't handle it. Hit a gym on your way to a LAN party, maybe.

Check these out.

Yeah, i have: CDRW, DVD, ZIP, TAPE, and a fan bay in my 5, 5 1/4 bays.
After thinking about it all i really need is:

2: 5.25 (tape, fanbay, zip can all go)
2: 3.5 (floppy, zip)
3-4: internal 3.5

Why not get something like a Lian Li Pc60. Its got four 5" bays and six 3" bays though 3 are hidden.

Nice lightweight aluminum case though its kinda pricey but very high quality.
