What's wrong with IE6...Active Scripting enabled but not reognizing Java?

Yeah you need to do a separate download - when I installed IE6 on my mothers PC (OS is Win ME) - java mysteriously disappeared and she was blaming me for not being able to access her online bank accounts.... a lot of head scratching later revelealed the problem.

IE6 was obviously the cause (standard with XP I think?) a fresh download soon put the java back into her browser 😉

.....and got me off the hook 😉

Java Virtual Machine came with SP1 for WinXP... MS had to put it back after they settled their lawsuit with Sun...

So it's really WinXP's problem, not IE6...

So by that logic why would installing IE6 on my mums PC which runs on Win ME disable JVM for her then?
