What's wrong with Catalyst?

So, I'm running a brand new install of windows since my old hard drive was starting to die on me. I installed winxp sp2 and my chipset drivers, then the windows updates so that I could get the .NET framework 2.0 that catalyst requires, and then I downloaded and installed the 5.13 ati drivers. Catalyst won't start, and it's running three instances of cli.exe in my processes. Anyone know what's wrong?

Not sure. Try manually ending the three processes of Catalyst, and try loading it again. Once in a blue moon when a program of mine won't "start", I have to end it and re-run it.

You need .net 1.1, not 2.0. There is a link to .net 1.1 on the same page you get the cats from on ATI's site.

Thanks for the tip on 1.1! Catalyst is working now, but I still have two instances of cli.exe in my processes. Any ideas?

Well.. Aside from CCC being more than awful, I can't think of ar eason. My cli.exe only has once instance.. Although, mine's working on .net 2.0

Maybe you're supposted to install .NET framework 1.1.

I think those two instances are different. so I wouldn't worry about it. My bro also has two versions running, both taking about 30MB each. Sucks don't it.
