What's wrong with AGP???

I have a Radeon LE on a CUSL2 mobo. An error once occured in a game: "out of video memory". The AGP setting in BIOS is 32MB, but when I check Sandra 2001 -> video system, it shows "AGP 8MB" !!! Then I switched the BIOS to 64MB and check again, now "AGP 24MB"?!

No wonder I couldn't run the 64MB texture test in 3DMark 2K. WTH went wrong? is that a driver problem? (using v7089 in win98)

Is there a seperate setting for your aperature? Is this shared memory or is there memory on the board just for the vid? How much memory do you have? What type?

I have the same mobo set to AGP 4x, 64 meg aperture and a Radeon 64. I believe to run that 3Dmark2K 64 meg test, you need 64 meg of video card memory. Sisoft shows mine as having 64 meg video mem, and 24 meg AGP mem. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm able to run it with a 32 MB GeForce 2 GTS. SiSoft Sandra reports mine as having 32 MB RAM and 56 MB of AGP memory. How accurate that is I don't know, but it does run that test on my system. I wonder if it is a driver or hardware related issue with the Radeon?
