why doesnt nintendo support it? i think that could be awesome if done right, because metroid is really the only nintendo franchise i loved all that much even if the very first one sucked and even if the most recent metroid games have sucked.
anyway, i liked mario games, but they werent as good as many other franchises imo and the zelda games vary little from game to game. yoshi's island was excellent, but that was really the only game in the whole mario series that i would rate a 10/10 (although i have never played any of the Galaxy games); i would give SMB 3 and the first mario party 9/10 each (the latter not even done by Nintendo but by Hudson), then SMW and Super mario 64 each 8/10 with gameplay about a 7+ for each (because even though they had a ton of depth, i didnt find anything in either all that exciting in terms of interaction) but the artwork in mario 64 was amazing (not quite as much as Nights into dreams though) along with the filtering and the colors (even though there was no dynamic lighting, fewer polygons than crash bandicoot, and no rain effects like in Nights into Dreams), the music and sound effects in SM64 were incredible (very clear, synth sounded really high quality, and i liked the tunes almost as much as i liked the tunes in nights into dreams), and the tech quality (audio and visuals) of SMW was excellent for its day as was the artwork.
