I heard people saying that Radeon64MB DDR has problem with win2k.

Is this true? Is there a fix for it?

And are there any other known problems with the Radeon?

Thanks.:)

Radeon + win2000 does not perform like it does in win98se! It is all driver related though! ATI doesn't seem to care about Rdeon's win 2000
performance! That just makes me mad since I might go to 2000 in the future. I really want a Radeon also!

ATI has released drivers that address this issue. The performance gap is very small. Also, the Win2k performance on my machine seems smoother and more consistent.

I've owned a Radeon 64mb DDR and Win2k. And to be honest, I'm not quite sure why everyone is screaming about "don't buy a radeon if you are using win2k". I didn't have any issues. Sure, I got a few less "marks" in 3dMark2001, but it wasn't anything to complain about.

Agreed, I never had any problems in win2k with drivers. All my games work fine and play as well as they did in win98. Make sure to get newer drivers though, either the latest Special Purpose or try some new beta drivers.

<rant>However, I'm having a real bad f*cking time getting the video in to work right now. But that's the multimedia center which, IMO, is a huge piece of sh*t. But the drivers are okay. :)</rant>

You are right, its Multimedia Center. I had nasty problems with VIVO on Win98 too. Make sure that you reinstall Multimedia Center EVERY time you update the drivers.

ATI resolved the win98 and win2k gap 4+ months ago. ATI's multimedia center is a little flaky but I usually capture using divx anyway.
