I just upgraded to a Asus CUSL2-C mobo, and my Toshiba 16X DVD drive and Iomega 12X CDR-W won't show up as UltraDMA33 devices in the BIOS, and I keep getting buffer underruns when I try to burn. Any insights?

Thanks

What devic is on what IDE cable.

Have the correct southbridge drivers installed? (4 in 1 if you have a via chipset).

Hard drive is on IDE1 and the two CD drives on IDE2, had it the same way on my old mobo and they both ran UltraDMA 33 fine...

thanks!

Tuna,

The CUSL2-C is an intel board,

I can understand, as when most see a problem, they instantly assume its a Via/AMD combo 😉

Try setting just your cd Drive up without the dvd

Did you do a new install of your OS, as Im assuming your upgrading to a new chipset? Latest Bios?
