What's worse: Sugar or Aspartame?

Which is worse to eat, Sugar or Aspartame? Just curious. I've learned that all food is bad in some way, but which of those two is worse is what i'm wondering

Aspartame. When it comes to sweeteners I trust nature over the scientists.

In low quantities, probably aspartame. But in large amounts, sugar is most likely worse for you.

there is nothing natural about high fructose corn syrup

I am fairly certain this aspect of aspartame has been refuted many times over.
