Alright I will bite. If you goto pricewatch and do a search for 256MB PC133 SDRAM you will see first of all that the generic stuff is ultra cheap, which is good :) BUt the discouraging part is the fact that says some of the modules are designed and will only work with the AMD K7, SiS 630, and VIA chipsets. How are these modules ONLY compatible with AMD CPU systems? I am jsut curious, I am looking to build a Tbrid system but still want good memory, even if it says if its jsut for the AMD systems.

bonker is right, go with something in the mainstream price. Way too cheap memory prices should tell you about the quality of both the retailer, and the product.
The AMD only stuff is of the lowest quality, from what I understand. The via and sis chipsets as well as the k-7 processor are very tolerant of poor quality memory. (I don't believe that this applies to thunderbirds or durons though- someone correct me on this if wrong)

Yeah, GaryTCS is right, durons and t-birds need the good ram... people have been telling stories left and right about how ram doesn't work with the a7v and the kt7... i would suggest doing what Bonkers says, buy good ram, generic will only cause you problems... and if you want cheaper ram, go with a company you've heard of at least... if you want something REALLY good, then go with those mushkin sticks, crucial, or even corsair, but don't go with the generic unless you buy like pc133 and you're running it at pc100 only... even then... i wouldn't suggest it... but thats just me
