I come here several times each week to catch up on what's hot and what's not. Tonight I noticed that while reading messages with certain phrases or words, the words or phrases light up yellow and have a link to an outside site. These are not the usual poster links. For eaxmple, the term "hard drive" shows up as a link.
I noticed this also at amdmb.com as well. Is this something new in this forum or is it an setting with winXP?
Thanks,
R
****UPDATE*****
Downloaded and ran Ad-Aware spyware removal and found CYDOR. It seems to have cleared up now. I regret the wasted space during my momentary state of panic. I was about 30 seconds from FORMAT C: /S
CYDOR was new to me. Perhaps this post won't be a total waste of bandwidth in case someone else enters and notices the same thing. For a moment I thought it was new advertising at amdmb, and thus the reson I didn't panic right away. I later found it here and went into a DEFCON 2 mode. I felt it should be investivgated.
I didn't copy any links because they were almost everywhere. The mention of "hard drive," "sound card," "internet," etc., would set it off.
Again.... I regret my hissy fit and the wasted space.
