What's with the Hacking of Tech sites?

In case you haven't noticed, there is a trend forming.. Sites like icrontic.com and amdmb.com are down for unexplained reasons. In the case of icrontic.com, they are seeking donations to rebuild the site due to the very destructive hack waged against them. Although I'm not sure what's going on at amdmb.com, I've not been able to call the site up for 3 days and starting to worry. Am I missing something or are techies biting the hand that feeds them??
