You're supposed to do that, as a general safety rule. This way you can see stuff coming at you and have some warning, instead of suddenly being plowed over from behind by an errant car. ;)

If you can travel at about 10 mph or more you should go with traffic....if less against.

Actually, whether they runon the concrete or the road, they are damaging their lungs more than their joints if they jog in a high-density trafic area. The reason is simple, when you run, your lungs tend to get larger, being capable of inhaling more air, hence inhaling a lot of car exhaust is no good. no no no good.

Also its really annoying to run on sidewalks, as most of them tend to be very broken, up and down...

Sounds farfetched, but okay, if true its still far far better than you sitting on your ass.

I always assumed it was because they wanted to suck up as much CO as possible.

Get a friggin treadmill.

At least personally, I can't stand running on a treadmill. I don't like running in the first place, and the treadmill is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to boring (besides costing money plus space).

watch tv...

i was taught to walk on the left side of the road, but to bike on the right....

TV doesn't interest me. I don't watch it unless it is on at a friends house (or its the superbowl or something).

I don't mind them as long as they run against the traffic flow... Like they're supposed to do. :p
