What's with asians and clubbing?

I'm asian, I don't go to clubs. Too lazy and too far from Berkeley =/.

But I do know other people at UCLA or UPenn going clubbing.
 
more of a pub person these days but i never noticed a clear asian majority at any clubs... then again i live in brazil
 
They have Asian nights at certain clubs but if I remember correctly, I'm not sure if they still do, but Q's in Pasadena has Asian nights on Wed., Century Club use to have Asian nights on Sat. but it died down a little bit, V2O (never been there) is the current "hip" club right now but its probably full of gangsters and LePrive which was once Nobles then changed back to LePrive is mostly a Korean club where they serve $50 for a fruit plate and $500 for a bottle of $80 cognac.

The reasons why they have such a thing is because Asians are very clickish (meaning most of them like to hang around their own people).

My wife is 28 and still goes with her friends. (Not very uncommon in NYC though) I tell her cya, have fun.

i saw people showing their passport as ID.

 
I'm asian in LA, but i don't dig the club scene. As a matter of fact, V20 is a few blocks away from work. I guess i can cruise on by and watch those hot asian chicks (attention whores) grind against each other.
 
I've noticed over the past few years that it's become quite fashionable for asian women to lighten their hair colour. Very seldom to I see a young asian woman with black hair anymore.
 
Heh. Ironically, all the Asians I know go to Latino clubs, for Salsa. Except for one, who goes to only (non-Asian) hip-hop clubs. I guess for her "Once you go black"...
 
Hmm.. any club? You sure about that?

A lot of venues are predominantly asian dominated, based on location, but far from all of them.

come to my neck of the woods.. it's a whole different story in San Antonio when it comes to clubs.

90% of any clubs occupants are young, thuggish, hispanic males. Then again, it's South Texas.

I think I've been to a club about 5 times in my life. Not my thing. But my wife and her friends go a couple times a month although not as much recently. I think they hit the XO asian parties since it's free for ladies before 11. They are just out to have fun - couple drinks and some dancing. They're all taken and aren't looking for guys. Those XO "parties" seem to suit their needs...
 
you're just going to the clubs being promoted by asian promoters.. asian promoters invite all their friends, who are mostly asian, go look for a latin night, and you'll be set.. everyone goes clubbing, not just asians..

Road trip to LA this summer. I look forward to going to clubs then.. Clubs in the south bay suck... SF is much better, but still I wuold like to check out LA clubs =)

I know what you mean. Denver is the same way, huge groups of them are always in the clubs here. And they only socialize with each other.
 
I used to live in L.A. until about 2 years ago...I don't remember the club situation being like that.

Of course, I typically went to exclusive clubs because one of good friends is close with a number of celebs, club owners, etc. and so we'd go to one these places (like Joseph's) because my friend got free drinks for us and whatnot...and the scenery was really nice.

At Joseph's...you had to be 'a somebody', really hot, or know Joseph to get in. I don't know if it still like that or not.

asian women are cock tease, and asian man who think he got game will end up getting c-blocked afterall a whole night of expensive showoffs with his CK jeans, DKNY shirt, and Gucci shades; being pissed, he will come back the next week to prove he still got it and the women MUST be crazy to reject him. The woman, on the other hand, enjoys the constant weekly attention and won't stop showing up in clubs with skimpy outfit that doesn't really reveal much underneath. Vicious cycle ensures.
