Looks like P&N. Thread moved

I know this is an election year, but over the last few months, many political threads have been allowed to continue in OT instead of being locked or moved to P&N.
These threads are like poison to the OT community. Many of us have been posting there for years. It's a place for us to chill out and get away from work/college/whatever. Please help us keep it that way.
Also, I'm probably going to get banned for saying this, but I have beef with jpeyton. Having seen his posts over the last several months, I don't like that he turns into a troll in any OT thread that has any political angle. case in point.
If you were a responsible mod who saw a P&N thread in OT and knows that it WILL turn into flamebait, would you:
1. Move/lock the thread or get an OT mod to do it.
or
2. Add fuel to the fire.
I think the OT mods have been less than stellar in the last few months. I've been in OT for over four years, but its nonsense like this that makes me comes back less often.
