yesterday they had Justin Timberlake preaching about M$ new WMP and MTV's new internet music delivery thingy

and today Intel had Tom Hanks, Danny DeVito and Morgan Freeman out on stage to promote clickstar (content providers for intels new viiv machines)

does this always happen?

Big companies using big money to hire big stars because they are afraid...

Reminds me of the Democratic Party actually! 😀

Because celebrities are clearly better humans than the rest of us. Isn't it obvious?

I was unaware the Democratic Party paid celebrities for endorsements. Although, that was a great way to inject politics into a non-political thread I must say.

If you're lucky, maybe he'll stick in an anti-MS rant in his next post in the thread as well.

Well, it's obviously because Justin Timerblake is an authoritative source on internet music delivery technology.

I think the thing that is most sad is that the majority of Americans would be more inclined to trust the "opinion" of some musician or actor than an expert that understands precisely what he/she is talking about.

"This portable MP3 player boasts 20gb storage with video playback on a 500x300 pixel screen. Guaranteed to last 20 hours without charging. [Other technical stuff, I just made up the numbers, sue me]

opposed to:

"Yo yo yo! Check this out, it's me your favorite actor. I never leave the house without this music thingie. You hit the button and BAM, you get music. Tight."

Thats sounds about right. The Republican party actually has a tough time to find anyone famous that supports their ideologies.
