It's just a passing fad..in 10 months someone will do some genius research and it will be low fiber or some other crazy thing.

But this Atkins craze happened several years ago, then a few years ago...South Beach has been around for a while...so why all of a sudden Atkins this, Atkins that?

People are fat and lazy. They're tired of being fat, but are too lazy to exercise. That's the majority of it. There are a few that don't fall into this category.

I know what you mean. If I don't go to the gym or at least log a few miles on my treadmill I feel pretty lousy and undisciplined later in the evening. It's tough to get your ass up sometimes but you always feel a lot better after it's done :):beer: (low carb or course ;) :p )

Atkins is the correct diet for geeks who are addicted to soda and junk food, so it makes sense that it would be popular here.
