it depends on the school

for example, UCLA doesnt have a markerting major but both marketing and PR courses are offered under the communication major

You are going to have to major in Marketing, but you crazy people out west in the UC system I don't think have markting majors.. so like was said already, you'll probably have to major in communications with a focus on marketing.

I go to University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, and we have a marketing program here in the business school. Me personally, I'm majoring in Management Information Systems, but marketing sounds interesting. I have a few friends that go to UW Madison that will be majoring in marketing and they like it a lot.

yes, there is such a major, and it differs from Marketing. At least at the University of Texas, they have advertising in the school of Communications and Marketing in the business school (much harder to get into). I know this for a fact because I know 2 ppl with degrees in it.
